I hope that you have registered the clinet as a machine in the NIM Master. Once the machine is registered you need to allocate the install resources to the corresponding client , this would usually be a lpp source and SPOT or a mksysb and spot with the bosinst_datafile

Once the resources are allocated you need execute the below

smit nim_mac => perform operation on machine => select the client and slecet the bos_inst opertaion

THis will actually export the resources allocated for the resource and creates the tftp boot file for the client.

You can also check the /etc/bootptab on the nim master. It should have an entry for the client you are trying to boot. Also in the /tftpboot directory you should see some files for your client and a link to the spot you intend to beet.
