    Yes, there is. You could use sysback also. The whole NIM idea is that you should be able to recover a machine w/o the need of a cd/tape drive.

    Actually here is the scenario. We are disaster recovery support. Customer comes with their mksysb tapes to recover here. If their mksysb tape failes to boot from tape then we have two tested options one is boot from CD and restore from mksysb and the 2nd one is extract the mksysb image to NIM server and do the NIM load. I am thinking the 3rd way like instead the image to the NIM Server if could boot from NIM Server and restore from tape the exactly same way like the 1st option (clone load). I couldn't see any option there when we boot from NIM.
