  • 1.  Moving data source to Team Content

    Hi All,

    We developed dashboard having excel data source in My content and later we moved both Dashboard and Data source to Team Content. We re point the dashboard data source to Team content but if anybody else try to access dashboard other than me it is giving error "Don't have access to abc.xls data source contact Administrator". We try to relink the data source but still getting same error. 
    1. How do I make the datasource available to everyone and 
    2. How to make a data source primary if there are multiple data sources for a dashboard.

    Also, what version of CA are you using? I would like to test this out myself.

    Hi Denny,

    For instance we moved the model to Team Content folder and remapped, so everybody can access it now. But on the second question we are still waiting for work around. What I understand with couple of other conversations is 11.0.13 or 11.1 are loaded with all features.

    I am connecting to couple of data sources among them we wanted to make one as primary data source. I check in the videos we are getting that option when we right click on the model where as in 11.0.11 we did not see that option.

    Hi Vamsi,

    I have checked my dashboard which is created using excel data source in CA11.1.3. I have moved both excel source file and dashboard from my content to team content folder.
    My team member is able to access the dashboard without any issues.​

    Can you please check the team content folder permission for your user who is trying to access your dashboard from team content folder

    Hello vamsi,

    We are on version 11.0.12. As babu mentioned, once we moved our excel data sources from my content to team content our users are able to run the reports and dashboards without any issues. Please make sure the folder they are available for users have proper security groups and roles.
