We manage our complex IBM DB2 z/OS database objects using a third-party modeling tool to maintain our ERDs and generate DDL (for all Tables, Indexes, etc.).

The vendor of our current modeling tool recently announced its EOL(End-of-Life), meaning we must find a new solution urgently that fully supports the specifics of DB2 on z/OS.

What product are you currently using to handle the data modeling, DDL generation, and change management for your DB2 z/OS objects?

At my previous job, we used InfoSphere Data Architect, which I believe was included our DB2 LUW Enterprise Edition license.  It supported importing models from other vendor's tools, although not everything came across correctly.  It supported most DB2 for z/OS features, but I still ran into a few newer things that it didn't support, like some of the generated column options.

Any of these 3 are very and can alter to support your naming standards.   CA Erwin, Power Designer, and Er Studio.   One other I can think of is Toad.   I have used all of them and each has its good and bad points.   Powerdesigner have the best if need to alter ddl for your shops needs or standard.   

So, I have not found a good open source product.
