Are you an aspiring IBM Champion?

    Great! Let's get you started!

If you follow the program in any way, you know that nomination season opens in the Fall each year. But why wait until nominations open? You don't have to!

You can start building your advocacy portfolio now by applying to the IBM Rising Champions Advocacy badge program and begin your pathway to a future IBM Champion nomination. In other words, build that great bank of advocacy activities over the next few months, which can be used later for your nomination.

Are you ready for Mission 2?

Here is your second mission – this is an easy way to earn your first IBM Contributor badge, or maybe even your next badge like IBM Advocate or IBM Influencer. Ready? Here we go:

    1. Volunteer for an IBM User Group. There are many IBM User Groups across the world, and some are on the lookout for enthusiastic volunteers who are ready to step up and coordinate meetings, send out communications, help in the administration of the members, or speak at a User Group event. Can't find an IBM User Group in your region or topic area? You can lead your own! Our IBM User Group team accepting applications from those who are interested in receiving support from IBM to start and lead a local or virtual user group.
    2. Post two (2) blogs or discussion threads in a topic group on the IBM TechXchange Community. The IBM TechXchange Community topic groups are set up for YOU and all users of IBM technologies to collaborate and share your experiences, ask probing questions, or start an important topic that requires lots of input! By posting a minimum of two (2) times on the IBM TechXchange Community (make it a quality post, folks), you may earn your first IBM Rising Champions badge, or it may qualify you to earn higher badges in the program if you've already received badges from the IBM Rising Champions program. Make sure you read and understand the community guidelines before you get started.

Not sure how to get started with the IBM TechXchange Community… don't worry, we have a great opportunity to get you going! Register for our June 24 webinar called "Join conversations shaping the future: dive into the IBM TechXchange Community" at 11am Eastern. My special guests will help you with great tips and tricks about participating in the topic groups.

    …..

    Ok….. easy, right?

You can do the tasks from this mission or any of the tasks from Mission 1, and then start your application to begin earning badges! All you need to do is apply for your IBM Rising Champions CONTRIBUTOR badge by submitting the evidence – (your posts, your reviews, your ideas, your user group presentation, your new user group name, etc.). If you are already a program badge-earner, you can take on these missions too! Report your activities to earn higher badges in the program.

Meantime, watch for more mission assignments you can complete as we work our way towards IBM Champion nomination season.
