    We recently had an issue after an upgrade from AIX 6.1 TL 7 to TL 9. After the TL upgrade, we rebooted the server. Upon reboot, we had issues with SSH and had to fix.  We ended up having to recreate the /dev/random and /dev/urandom files.

    This caused some complicated issues with some of the applications on the server until the issue was resolved.

    My question is this...Has anyone run into a similar issue with the /dev/random and /dev/urandom files "disappearing" after an upgrade, whether specific to AIX 6.1 TL 9 or another version of AIX?

    If so, does anyone have an idea why this would happen?
