  • 1.  Maximo: Unchecking of Due Date Extended

    Posted Fri June 20, 2025 04:18 AM

    Hi All,

In Maximo, under the Assets application, when does the PLUSCPMEXTDATE (Due Date Extended) checkbox become unchecked? In what scenarios does this checkbox get automatically cleared?
    Thank in Advance

    Regards,
    Iswarya

    Hi Iswarya,

The PLUSCPMEXTDATE checkbox usually becomes unchecked when the PM schedule returns to normal - meaning the extended due date has been used, and Maximo recalculates the next due date based on the original frequency (like days or meter readings). This often happens after a work order is generated from the PM and the system resets the schedule.

It's also good to check if any custom automation scripts or configurations are affecting this behavior in your environment.

    Hope this helps!

    Hi Iswarya,
When you manually set an Extended Date on a PM record, the field EXTDATE is set. Subsequently an entry is made into the table PLUSCPMEXTDATE setting EXTDATE field as the Extended Date provided on the PM record. You can find more details here -https://bportaluri.com/wp-content/MaximoJavaDocs76/psdi/app/pm/FldPMExtdate.html
Additionally, on the related asset record, the flag - PLUSCPMEXTDATE is set to true.

The flag remains set until a WO is generated from the PM based on this Extended Date. Upon generation of the WO:
    • The EXTDATE field on the PM is cleared
    • The PLUSCPMEXTDATE flag on the ASSET is automatically unchecked
The flag is an indication that the the PM's Next Due Date is pushed beyond its normal schedule and thus gets cleared after one cycle of WO is generated based on this Extended Date.

    Hope this helps!
    Best regards,
