Great use case.
My initial thought is that the assistant should have their own tablet to record their own time.
But, once the "lead" completes the timed work and the entry appears in the Actuals, the "lead" could enter time on behalf of the assistant (if they have access to Labor other than their own)
No application changes needed.
Otherwise, logic would need to be built that asks if there was an assistant and who (Labor) when the time entry is made, resulting in two entries... one for the Lead and one for the Assistant.
Let us know what you end up with!

Subject: Maximo Tech Mobile Assistant Time Record on Timer Start and Stop
Hi Everyone,
We have a business requirement where, during work order execution, both the lead technician (logged-in user) and an assistant technician are involved. When the timer is started and stopped in Maximo Mobile, only the lead technician's labor transaction is captured.
Our challenge is to also capture the assistant's time with the same start and stop information. One option we considered was assigning the assistant to a work order task, which then flows to the work order actuals. However, this does not record timer-based start and stop times.
We would like to know:
Is there a standard approach to record timer-based time entries for both lead and assistant technicians?
Has anyone implemented a customization or configuration that allows multiple technicians to have their time captured when the timer runs?
Are there any recommended best practices for handling assistant labor in mobile inspections or work execution?
Any guidance or shared experience would be greatly appreciated.
Regards,
