Yes, the Start Center has been saved, and it updates correctly (including display names of the portlets) for my own user, just not for any of the other users apparently.
We are only talking 12+ active users using the Start Center. I just tried your suggestion with one single user. I removed the template from the security group, logged in as the user, no start center displayed, then added the template again and logged back in again with the user. Still the same outdated display names.
But that was only one user, your suggestion is that I get the template deleted from all users before I add it back to the group again, right? That will be a little bit of a hassle, but I guess that's what I am going to try soon.

Wow that does sound strange. To Craigs point, assuming the template is saved then this should not happen.
How many users do you have using this Start Centre? Is it possible to remove the template from the security group, get them all to log in so it deletes the template and then add the template back in.

I have updated our Start Center several times, and all of the changes take effect for the users once they update their Start center manuelly. All except the "Display name" of the portlets. That's an issue because the Display names of some of the Portlets are incorrect/outdated.
Is there any way to force the Display names to be updated? What could the reason be for them to not be updated?
