Maximo Scheduler Resource Loading is not updated when Work Order duration is updated in the Activity view

  • 1.  Maximo Scheduler Resource Loading is not updated when Work Order duration is updated in the Activity view

    Posted Thu February 20, 2025 06:14 AM

    Hi Team,

I have a graphical schedule with 10 work orders for 20th of feb and the total planned hours for the 10 work orders is 14 hours.

All the 10 work orders are planned with no task, planned craft with duration and Work Order duration is planned.

If I change one of the work order's duration i.e. previously the work order was planned for 2 hours but during scheduling the work I realised the work order will take additional 2 hours. If I change the work order duration from 2 hours to 4 hours , then graphical schedule didnt not update the labor loading and decrease the available by 2 hours.

It is same behaviour for PM with tasks.

My first assumption is that it is working as design and the planned craft duration needs to be changes then it will not work.

Please let me know your thoughts on this.

    Hello Biplab,

Could you try below for refreshing the Gantt View

    1. Option 1 - Refresh the schedule using Refresh Schedule option after making the changes to the work order duration.
    2. Option 2 - Check Refresh When Opening Gantt View option for the schedule.

    Also please note

    1. The Labor/Craft Total Hours would be based on the Calendar/Shift tagged to the Labor/Craft
    2. The Labor/Craft Occupied Hours would be based on the work order planned
    3. The Labor/Craft Available Hours would be subtraction of 1 and 2

    Hi Biplab,

When you update schedule dates/duration in Work Order Tracking application, you can refresh your schedule data to include these updates. This is done via the Refresh Schedule action in Graphical Scheduling. Please note that if changes were made in the schedule in terms of update in duration for the same record but not committed back to the work management application (via Commit Changes), no updates are made to the schedule.

Kindly let me know in case of any further questions.

    Regards,

    Aiman
