  • 1.  Maximo PM (Meter base frequency Workorder is not generated automatically )

    Posted Thu September 07, 2023 02:40 AM

    Hi ,

I have query regarding the PM meter base workroders.

Frequency : 2,000.00 and Units to Go  reaches to 853.00 but auto workorder is not generated after checked  the logs from server.

Below warnings appear : Generate work order from PMs on site WW finished 9/6/23 4:55 PM.
<br>BMXAA3191E - PM RTG4MM5H-21-N is not due yet, or it does not fall within the active season.
<br>BMXAA9342W - The next due date is not specified for floating PM RTG4MM5H-21-N in site WW.
To generate the PM, in the PM application, specify a next due date.

PM with checks for generating work orders.

Attached is the screen shot for PM with details.

    Pls help if anyone

    Regards,

    Faryal

    Hi Faryal,

As far as I can see you didn't entered any "alert lead" or "WO generated by" attributes. If those attributes are empty, the work order will only be generated when the meter has reached the 2000. Can you redo the test with some values entered in one of these attributes?

    Hi Faryal,

I reproduced your use case and indeed, if you enter a value in the "generate WO ahead by" field (e.g 1600), and after that you enter a new meter reading to the asset (actual, so e.g. 56.729 + 454 = 57.183), then the units to go is lower than 400 (399) -> 2000 - 399 = 1601. Since you entered "generate WO ahead by" = 1600, the work order now will be generated. Another approach is to enter a value in the "Lead Time (Days). Suppose you enter 10 days, and you use a static meter calculation of 24 hrs a day, than the work order will be generated 10*24 (=240) hours before the due meter frequency on the PM =(2000).

    Hi Faryal,

I'm confused as I don't see the problem.  When you have a meter-based PM and you have selected the Do not estimate and Generate WO when reached, it will only generate the WO only after the Units to Go has reached or exceeded the 0 value.  In other words, the meter reading needs to exceed 57,582.

With you saying the Units to Go is still 853, then you still need to consume 853 more hours (?).

There is no date to be considered.  It relies on using up all the hours.

    Hope that helps.
