So you mean that DB2 WH must be setup as containerized app, but we should not setup DB2 WH on any windows/linux servers?

You can deploy DB2 WH outside of the cluster running MAS - this is correct. It can be deployed in a different OCP or using docker/podman or there is even SaaS offering in IBM Cloud. The link from the previous post describes the steps for deploying outside of OCP.

HI @Witold Wierzchowski,
Thank you for the response.
I believe that Maximo monitor supports DB2 warehouse external to the cluster. This is the link - Maximo Monitor technical overview - IBM Documentation
Below is the screenshot which says that DB2 warehouse can run external to MAS OCP Cluster.

Are you sure that Monitor only supports containerized DB2 warehouse?

Hi,
for monitor You need a DB2 Warehouse, which is only available as containerized app. You can run it on podman/docker and it works just fine - details: https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/db2-warehouse?topic=hardware-deploying-smp-linux-x86
You cannot use the standard DB2 for MAS Monitor.

Hi All,
Looking for guidance on setting up Maximo Monitor with DB2, where DB2 will be outside of the OCP cluster.
Has anyone setup in similar way?
Please advise.
