    Hello,
     
    We are on MAS 9 with Service provider add on and Maximo Mobile Version 9.0.93 .
     
    We are using one user account with Maxadmin access for Run as user on Mobiledbgeneration cron task.
     
    Currently all users assigned with OOTB Technician security group.
    We want to restrict data for the users so that they should see data (Assets, locations, Inventory, Inventory balances) for the Customer they are assigned with on their person record. However they could see all lookup data (which is agreed as Maxadmin have all accesses) 
     
    There are 100+ customers and Mobile Users are spread across customers locations with individual customer data access level set on their person record.
     
    In this scenario, how we can setup preload db.
     
    What will be overhead if we follow below approach-
     
    1. Create individual Technician security groups by Customer, apply customer related settings, create multiple service accounts with base concurrent users, create multiple cron instances 
     
    how it will impact app points consumption as we don't want to use end users as run as user on cront task instead using 1 service user/customer with base concurrent user entitlement?
     
    can someone suggest better alternatives?

    Hi Ganesh,

    You run the crontask with one of the users (let's say user1) who is part of OOTB technician security group. Then it will download the necessary data as part of preload db.

    Create a person group with user1 as default user and add all remaining users of OOTB technician security group, so all of these users will be able to access these preload db.

    Similarly, you can create multiple security groups and multiple person-group for multiple preload db as per the need.

    Note: if one person is part of multiple persongroups, then they will get option to select which preload db to download.
