I have a client that is upgrading from Maximo 7.6 to MAS 9.  As part of this process, they are replacing their current Mobile solution DataSplice 5.3 with Maximo Mobile.  They also use WorkTech 5.3 for time keeping.

DataSplice has a custom form that connects directly to the WorkTech database.  WorkTech 5.3 doesn't possess the capabilities of data integration in any other way.  A user can charge time against a work order using the DataSplice custom form.  Once complete, the records are saved directly to the WorkTech DataBase. 

The MIF has been setup with an Enterprise Service (Integration Table) for importing the labor transactions into LABTRANS.  An OS cron has been created to poll the WorkTech tables and import the new records into the MIF interface table.

The client is unable to replace WorkTech at this time.  The challenge is to create an app in Mobile that connects directly to the WorkTech database for time entry.  Does anyone know whether this can be done?  If so, any recommendations on how?  If not, any recommendations on how this can be accomplished without having to go through MAS and the MIF first?
