Maximo Mobile will try to sync the transaction data whenever you change a record (Change Status, Start/Stop Work, update the record, etc). These actions will create a transaction and will be sent to a queue. Once Mobile identifies that it can reach the Maximo server, it will try to send these data transactions to Maximo. Before on Anywhere, you could go offline; this is not available on Maximo Mobile and will be offline when it can't reach the server (verified automatically).
The master data, like lookup values, will be downloaded using the generated pre-loaded database, and you have the option to sync the delta lookup values without generating a new pre-loaded database. The database generation strategy will depend on your implementation, but it can be once a day, a week, or a month. It will depend on your needs.
The Data List, which is all records on the list page of each application, will be refreshed when you click the Refresh button on the list page or whenever you click on the sync button on the Data Update page (the cloud icon on the bottom bar).

I looked through the topics but I couldn't find any clear information.
What's the mechanism for communicating from Maximo to Mobile? (in Anywhere, this communication was happening only on user's request to sync data from Maximo to Mobile - has something changed/improved?)
I saw that Steven Shull mentioned in another post that some improvements have been made, but I couldn't find any details.
