  • 1.  Maximo Language Change option when using SAML authentication

    Hi All,

    We have successfully implemented the SAML setup for UI Servers and IF as non SAML. The base language for Maximo setup is Japanese and secondary language is English. We are using Idp initiated SAML and when we login with SAML, Maximo start center comes up with Japanese as base language ( default settings). For a non SAML , ideally Maximo login page provides an ability to change the language , but with SAML enabled we don't have that option as we get a SAML login page.  We wanted to check if there is a way we can change the language of Maximo from Japanese to English and we should be able to toggle between languages. 

    Note: We need to keep base language as Japanese.

    Appreciate if someone could provide some pointers around achieving this.

    Is there a reason the users (or an administrator) can't set their preferred language on their profile? If a single user is switching back and forth, language code is persisted during their session but they should be able to log out and log back in to utilize a different language.

    Hi Steve,

    Thanks for the suggestion . Yes I completely agree if user has option to change the profile language , he/she should be able to set the language and this should solve the language issue. But if the user does not have access to change the language from profile (if  its restricted) , is there a way we can do  some settings in SAML - IDP initiated login page to control the language?
