    I am getting the following error whey trying to update Maximo Components to 764

    ERROR: Cannot run database script update.

    Installed database is newer than last release database. Please contact system administrator.

    I found a work around for this by going to ..\IBM\SMP\maximo\applications\maximo\properties\product\oslcos_pmp.xml and add ing *V7620-02* between *V7620-01* and *V7621-07* on the <lastdbversion> tag. The update DB was then able to complete successfully.

    Hi Aki, 

    It looks like there is a sync issue between what the code said your version was and what the database thinks it is,  which is causing some issues with the updatedb not knowing where to start.  It's possible you may of received a LA fix at some point that updated the product.xml outside of the interim fix and feature pack installs.

    Thanks Shane. That makes sense but we are not certain if its the root cause of the error since I was not involved in the Maximo implementation or subsequent upgrades.
