I don't think you can configure the idle timeout and I'm not entirely sure there is one. Mobile apps are complicated because mobile operating systems suspend apps in the background all the time to free up RAM and/or conserve battery and when the app is suspended and brought back Anywhere treats that the same as restarting the app so you'll be forced to reauthenticate. There are special processes the OS does when it puts apps to sleep in this way that an app developer can tie into to save state and resume which is why you won't notice this in Twitter for example, even though they're impacted by the same thing. I'm not sure why IBM hasn't done this themselves, but I imagine it has to do with the amount of shared devices for technicians and not wanting someone to be able to access the session of another user.

Subject: Maximo Anywhere app timeout
Hi,
I'm trying to find out where to change the app session timeout (ie. how long the Anywhere app can be idle before I have to log in again). The closest that I can find is this link: https://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/SSPJLC_7.6.4/com.ibm.si.mpl.doc/configure/r_timeout_properties.html BUT it only refers to connectivity & GPS time out.
