Hi Everyone, 

we are working on a requirement to allow users to reset the app and download system data again from Workexecution app itself.

in usual mobile apps (android/windows), we can go to app info and reset app from there by clearing data and cache. by doing this app will go to initial state. we wanted to achieve same functionality inside the app.

is there anyway we can give this feature inside the app, to clear the data and download app data again.


any suggestion would be helpful.

Hi Rahul,

I have an APAR created for a similar issue as i was trying to do the same. IJ34802

It looks like it will be in a future release, you can technically call the methods in the base code to reset the data store (part of the change password feature if you trace it through), this fix stops the app from hanging when it relaunches and tries to download the latest zip from Maximo again.

Yes, i did find the function/method in changepassword handler to restore/reset the app and it is working as expected.
