  • 1.  Maximo 7.6.1. Installation on Windows Server 2019

    I need to instal maximo 7.6.1 on windows server 2019. However, when I try to download maximo installation files from "Passport Advantage Online", I cannot find windows server 2019 in combobox. Should I download files for windows server 2016?

    Hi,

    We can install 7.6.1 on Windows Server 2019, however when we look at the System Information, the Server OS still shows Windows 2016. Is there a way this information can be updated to Windows 2019 on the System Information dialog?

    I found if you update WAS to the latest FP14 it shows up correctly as Windows 2019

    I would say it's a bit inconsistent as I have one environment that shows 2019 but another still shows 2016

    Hi Priyaranjandas,

    We had received below response from IBM for this:
    It is an issue with Windows. Maximo just reads the system properties from what Windows provides. Windows 2016 and 2019 both have 10.0 as the major.minor release values. The Windows code is assuming any major version 10.0 of a server release is Windows 2016.
