  • 1.  Maximo 7.5.0.11 Update Error CTGIN2102E Cannot Connect to Database

    Posted 08/04/20 06:16 PM

Running install_win64 to update from Maximo 7.5.0.0 to 7.5.0.11. After validating inputs receive error "CTGIN2102E: Error: Cannot connect to the database with user user-name." (replaced actual user-name). Using SSMS to connect from the app server to SQL Server with same user name and password works fine. Cannot find any reason in \SMP\logs\ or in SMP\CGT_DE\ascii\logs\. SQL Server 2008 R2 SP3, Windows Server 2008 R2.

Waiting on extended support and have Maximo 7.6 server ready. Just need the install/update program to succeed so I can get the database moved over.

The title I just copied from the top of this page is "Support Forums." I did attempt to open a support case, but needed to wait for a quote for extended support.

The issue was resolved 6 months ago, turned out that I needed a new sqljdbc.jar driver.

I would delete the question if there was a way to do so.
