Hi Dario,
Steven already perfectly explained the licensing implications for your case. I'd like to add to that there is one more option that was not mentioned. If you want to make a clone of SRMOBILE app to do more than it was designed for and it would break the predefined licensing limitations for that app, it can be interpreted as creating a totally new application. In such case you have to make sure you register the new app with the correct licensing configuration so that MasUserAnalyzer cron task can correctly identify user entitlements. That crontask relies on MAXLICAPPACCESS and MAXLICPRODAPPS tables.
Based on your case, if you want to reimplement the logic of the desktop SR application in the mobile SR, your new mobile application should follow the licensing configuration of SR instead of SRMOBILE, so it won't be a self-service application anymore and will count for the 3-module limitation of Limited entitlement as a part of SD module. See how they differ in MAXLICAPPACCESS.
The main focus here is to ensure the licenses are calculated correctly and you can prove it. In case of doubt, I recommend you to create an IBM support case to get their confirmation.

Dear Steven,
Thank You a lot for your time and explanation. I must be honest, I did not thinkig about that. I did not change SRMOBILE app, I had idea to clone it so orginal SRMOBILE app will still be used by end user, but cloned app, with new funcionality, will be used by few users. But after your explanation, I really need to find another way for my case. My problem is because I thinking like developer, just to find the way to do something, not realizing that I could have problem with licences. So thank You for advice.

I'll start with the odds of an auditor ever identifying the change you made is next to zero. The auditor would need to really understand Maximo, MAF configuration, automation scripts, etc.
That being said, if you had not developed your enhancement, users wanting to perform this functionality would need to utilize the desktop SR application. A user with access to the desktop SR application (even just READ access) would require a Limited user account. Depending on what all functionality is added, the Work Order or Service Desk module might need to be counted as one of their 3 modules. If it's just change status, then a limited user can execute change status in any application without counting as a module.
You have made functionality that previously would require a Limited user account available in a self-service application (free for everyone). The licensing calculations will not detect that change and will completely ignore the application because it's flagged as self-service. Phrased another way, you could have millions of users with access to that app and consume 0 app points. Even if today all the users using the application are Limited users, the module count piece still becomes potentially important because that could bump users from Limited to Base (or Premium if they have Industry solutions). This falls under the License Circumvention clause (Licensing Information and Usage Restrictions). Just like you can't create a cloned or custom application in a different module than the out of the box application or add functionality like creating a PO to an app like WOTRACK that wouldn't be possible out of the box because that would reduce licensing requirements for your users.

Hi Steven,
Yes, I know that, but my client wanted to use this app in the way to change status. I suggest to them to open work order, because they had so much possibility there, but that is not the option. So I need to improvise and I create two new navigator tile, and they are running automation scripts to change status of SR.

The SR mobile application is a self-service application that is limited intentionally because it is self-service. It is intended to capture requests from unlicensed users in the field (think all employees reporting facilities issues) that then get assigned, progressed through statuses, etc. via a service desk employee. It is not intended to be utilized by the person that executes that work, so the edit capabilities are extremely limited by design.

Hi
Thank You for your replay.
I know, but I managed to do it another way. I used the navigator-tile. I created two new ones, and linked automation scripts to them, one tile that changes the status, and the other tile that assigns to another group of people. So I made a small workaround. And everything works as it should.

Hey Dario,
Currently, there is no functionality for changing status of SRs from Maximo Mobile. IBM technote - https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/status-updates-service-requests-maximo-mobile
Hope this helps!

Hello everyone,
We have upgrade on MAS 9.1, and we are using IBM Mobile for service requests. And we have one question?
We noticed that we can not change status on Mobile application, and that is how mobile is working. Is there any workaround so we can change statuss of service request in Mobile?
Thank you
