I'm looking for best practices and how people have used tools to manage their Assets. I work in the railway and the Assets come to you and the plan is always changing, so the tools have to be flexible.
I'm interested in more training materials if anyone can share. I find instructions are usually to high level, ambiguous, or when looking at the modules within Maximo there are several extra fields what are not in the training information. I find training information difficult to find.

    Hello Dean,

I can assist you with this.  Training information is usually generic for the Out of Box state for Maximo.  We have worked with organizations to develop workshops specifically tailored to their requirements and our GenesisSolutions team will conduct the workshops utilizing a consultant with field experience.

Workshops are preferable than training in this case as it will be hands-on and you will  gain peer knowledge.

Please call me at 905-541-1927 and I can provide you with more information. In the meantime, I have attached a review of our services.
    Thank you,

    Hi Dean,

I just wanted to point out that there is a Rail Summit occurring at Maximo World August 7-9 in Orlando. You will be able to network with others in your field and find some answers to your questions. Hope you can make it.

You said the plan is always changing. Why is that? Is the work you're asked to perform not the correct diagnosis, so the remedy is different? I'm not really clear about your question. Could you provide some examples or pain points you're going through...?
