  • 1.  logrotate.conf double include issue

    logrotate 3.18.0-2

    The delivered logrotate.conf file includes /opt/freeware/etc/logrotate.d twice. If any configuration file is dropped into this directory, then logrotate complains that the file under management is included twice and refuses to manage it with an error message. Commenting out the first include fixes the issue.

    logrotate 3.18.0-3 is available in AIX Toolbox for quite sometime. The mentioned issue was already fixed there.

    Thanks for pointing that out. It highlights the lag between fixes and the appearance on the LinuxToolbox DVD published by IBM. This problem was fixed in February this year, just after the latest DVD that we have on site.

    Yes. AIX toolbox DVD is point in time snapshot of AIX toolbox packages. 
    Latest packages are always available on AIX toolbox repo.
