  • 1.  Log binomial regression

    Posted Mon March 03, 2025 11:07 AM

Hello everyone,  I am hoping to find clear instructions (tutorial and/or step-by-step instructions) on how to correctly run log binomial regression in SPSS with covariates. I have been working with a statistician but they use "R".  I am wanting to ensure I can run the tests  myself on SPSS.

    Thank you in advance,

    Kelly Hayes

You are probably referring to Analyze > Generalized Linear Models.  You might find it helpful to read through the case study for this procedure, which is available via Help > Topics > Case Studies.

    Dear Mam,

I think I can used this this advance technique:

To run a log binomial regression in SPSS, use the GENLIN procedure with a binomial distribution and log link. Include your covariates in the model and estimate using maximum likelihood. Ensure convergence and check for robust standard errors.
