Hi
@IAN HENDERSON, Thanks for responding to this issue.
I tried different types of objects and it's happing SQL based Objects.
1. In Source module, create SQL based Object
2. in Child Module, bring objects from Source Module. They appear correctly as linked objects and can't modify it's properties
3. Now add new SQL based object in Source Module. Changed attributes to some data items to be identifier instead of Measure.
4. In Child Module, when try to import only this new SQL Object, it doesn't come as Linked Object and its properties can be updated and doesn't carry properties set in Source Modules.
I am using CA 11.1.6.
Please advise if this is an issue with SQL based Objects.
Secondly calculations done on Linked Objects appear outside of Linked Object and is confusing which one is source when using in Explorations.
Thanks for any inputs!

The attached video is my attempt to replicate what I think you are trying to say what you've done. Please review it and clarify the actions you are actually performing. You will probably need to click on the view attached button.
You mention calculations. Are the objects you are complaining about stand alone calculations in your source module? They don't get treated as references in the destination module. They will be editable.
