    Hello, I am running some linear mixed models with categorial variables. The last line of each one is always set to redundant. For example:

    My question is, how can I obtain the values for the last variable?

    The contrasts are comparisons against Treatment 4.  If there were no other variables, that would leave the intercept value (assuming that you are using treatment contrasts, which is the default).

    Hi Jon, I understand. Does this mean I would still need to compare all of the others against one another?

    Do I report the table just like this? I just want to make sure I am not missing reporting information that is needed.

    If the factors have more than two categories and are of interest in themselves  such as reflecting a treament, you would want to be sure to connect them with the hypotheses being tested.  You can request the LMATRIX but the Parameters table pretty much tells the story.
