    Hi @Paul Glenn, great question. I'm not as familiar with Data Camp to make a comparison, but there are some folks here that can likely share their thoughts.

    @Ana Echeverri recently ran a webinar on data science specialization, which may have some helpful insights. ​​​​
    @Sonia Malik ​is helping promote IBM's partnership with Coursera, and you may get some more information in this thread or by asking her directly.

    I can't speak specifically to the Data Camp content.  There are many providers offering data science training and as a general rule my recommendation if you are interested in becoming a data scientist, not just in getting data science literacy is to make sure that the option you choose offers opportunity for hands-on work.  I would say that is the most important criteria to go beyond data science literacy.

    I took the Stanford Machine Learning course (Professor Ng) on Coursera. It was challenging and in-depth. After that, I wanted to see if I could use what I had learned to solve a real-world problem that had a lot of data. (2,500,000 rows before grouping.) I did an ML project of my own to solve a problem we were having at work. As Ana said, hands-on work is very important. The Stanford course uses MatLab (or a similar open source language). The IBM Coursera courses that I've taken use Python and they are also very good.

    I finished Data Scientist track on Data Camp and strongly recommend it. Easy to learn and with practices you can have a good start in Data Science.
    Coursera specializations are good, too. But for a start I recommend Data Camp.

    Hi @Paul Glenn,

    It completely depends on your taste and which one of them you like. It can be any of them including but not limited to Kaggle, medium blogs on data science, coursera, data camp etc.

    The core is where you feel the mind match and the most essential is doing hands on project, nothing more nothing less.
