  • 1.  Job stuck in Pending

    I currently have a report stuck in pending. When I try to cancel the report in the Administration Console, nothing happens. It does not seem to be impeding any other reports or jobs from running. We currently use Congos 11.0.13. Does anyone know how to get rid of these reports?

    We are also on CA 11.0.13 and experience occasional situations where a number of reports go into Pending status.
    Rather than cancelling the reports, we perform what we call a "nudge/tickle" of the Report and Batch Report Services.

    From the Administration Console, go to System, then for all of your Application Servers drill down to the Services and re-start the ReportService and the BatchReportService. This usually clears things up for us, but sometimes we need to do this more than once and then the best solution is to stop and start all Cognos services at a convenient time for the business.

    Hi,

    Running NC_TABLE scripts may help with it.

    You don't need a backup of content store. Don't concern about that. NC tables will be populated as needed.

    Just stop services, run NC_DROP and NC_CREATE and start services.
