  • 1.  job empty in analytics 11.1.6 and 11.1.7

    At IBM we already have an open ticket containing the question I mentioned earlier in the cognos community. and in IBM passport:
    about the lack of info columns in the new job editor. ibm case number: TS004052555 
    Business Analytics



    Another showstopper would be if the jobs containing multiple reports which cannot be linked anymore. When renaming one of those reports all goes well, because then the job also renames that/those report(s). But when you delete a report totally, then the whole job seems to be empty! You then get an empty screen saying you can start a new job, not showing any of the former reports anymore…

    in 11.1.6 the workaround was: check ID from job. 
    open another job and switch to the classic view.
    edit the url from that classic view and replace it with ID from failing job.
    then we could relink the missing report again.

    now that workaround is not working any more.

    I have logged a defect for this issue. Please tell the support analyst to reach out to me for the number when you log the case.

    Also Harri is correct. Using the classic portal will allow you to rectify the Job. I just confirmed this in my system.

    @remco van Geel I encountered this problem, too, so am passing along a workaround someone else shared with me in case you don't have the classic view enabled in all environments. Schedule the job, and then in the Cognos Administration, under Schedules, you can find it and edit the job in the class screens.

    This problem should be solved in 11.1.4(+). See APAR PH10334 https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/apar/PH10334. I believe there is another APAR about reports (instead of only report views).
    What you have to do is recreate corrupted jobs. Only jobs from earlier releases than 11.1.4 should have this behavior.

    Does this problem also occur with jobs created in 11.1.4(+) in 11.1.6/11.1.7?
