when i try to run only one failed report in a job. It runs entire job (all the reports in a job) instead running only the failed report. The way i am trying to run the failure report in a job is 

i go to Manage> Administration Console> Status>Past Activities>Status-Failed>Select the job which shows failed and go to view run history details>Then click on Action to see the report which failed and then click on Action and click on rerun the failure report only. But when i do that, it runs all the reports in that job. Instead of running that failed report only. 

Is there any better way to achieve to run only a failure report in a job .

That's not normal behaviour.  When you rerun a failed report in a job, the entire job appears in the console but only the rerun report should actually run. You should be able to confirm this by looking at the rerun job.
