    I know that IBM puts out whitepapers on IBM i.  Stuff that shows future releases, etc.  Is there something like this for support for JDE on IBM i?  The reason I'm asking is someone is looking to migrate from JDE on AIX and is considering IBM i but one person is trying to talk him out of it at https://community.ibm.com/community/user/discussion/jd-edwards-vs-aix-73#bm946c2166-f47d-4ef1-b207-019b7b878e5a

    I submitted feedback on that site and got a rapid response from IBM as follows:

    Thank you for taking the time to provide us with your thoughts and comments regarding JD Edwards (Oracle) Solutions on IBM i.

    At this time, JD Edwards (Oracle) has not done testing, and does not support, IBM i 7.6.  I suggest contacting your Oracle client representative to make them aware of your request for IBM i 7.6 support.  Additionally, if you want to provide me with details on your request for IBM i 7.6 support and what version of EnterpriseOne tools you would like to be supported -- I will make that request known thru our development interlocks.  The JD Edwards development team is aware of IBM i 7.6 and there are plans to include in future testing, support cycles.  But feedback from customers requesting support will sometimes get that timeline accelerated.

    I will get the main support page which discusses JD Edwards Solutions on IBM i updated this week to include the above information to better solicit feedback on IBM i 7.6 support directly to Oracle and our IBM team.
