We encounter an issue that after the patching for log4j a word document and excel document with the cognos for office plugin is not able to handle prompts anymore. The report either throws an error in case of a word document (object doesn't support property or method 'addEventListener' in https://<local cognos host>/prompting/pmt_core.js) , or in case of an excel hangs after you want to reload the report. We cannot find any information on this issue on the internet, did anybody else encountered the same issue and found a solution (we have already logged a case at IBM)?

Hi Robert,

What version did you move from and to?

I have not been able to find the pmt_core.js file on any of my systems. Is this a custom file and does it still exist on your server? (Was it added to the preserve.txt or copied over manually after the upgrade?)

I'll take another look to see if I can determine the origin of the file. It could be that I've missed something or I'm looking in the wrong location.

I've seen a similar issue with missing .js files. It was based on the following:
PH42727: SOME CUSTOM CONTROLS WILL NOT FUNCTION WITH 11.1.7 FP4 AS JQUERYFOLDER IS MISSING.
