Hi All, We are having a funny issue with our QBRs since upgrading to Maximo 7.6 - just wondering if anyone else has experienced this or knows a better workaround than the one we are using
Currently in 7.6 if you create a new QBR and select 'Apply Application Query' and report will be created with the query in the where clause. Report is saved. Next time you run the report it uses the saved query but also a 'Run Time Query' which is based on the current where clause - which could be totally different to your saved query and hence results are skewed.
This did not happen in our previous version of 7.1. If you used the 'apply application query' when saving the QBR is did not matter was displayed on your list screen at the time of executing your report it always picked the saved query from when the report was created.
Has anyone else come across this? I've pasted some further clarification below

Issue:
Before Upgrade
- When running a report that had the “Apply Application Query” checkbox checked at the time of creation, the filter on the user’s List tab at the time of running the report did not impact the records that were returned by the report.
After Upgrade
- When running a report that has the “Apply Application Query” checkbox checked, the filter on the user’s List tab at the time of running the report does impact the records that were returned by the report. The filter on the user’s List tab at the time of running the report acts like a second where clause. So a record will only be returned by the report if it is returned by both the “Saved Where Clause” and the “Run Time Where Clause”.
Desired Functionality:
As discussed please see below desired functionality (this is the functionality that existed in version 7.1). Let me know if you require any further clarification.
- When creating a new QBR with the “Apply application query” check box ticked, only the query in the Where clause at the time of creation should be used for all future executions of the report. For all future executions of the QBR, the query in the Where clause at the time of execution should not be used in the “Run Time Where Clause” for the report (i.e. it should be irrelevant).
- When creating a new QBR with the “Apply application query” check box unticked, the query in the Where clause at the time of execution should be used for every execution of the report.
- For all existing QBRs where the “Apply application query” check box was ticked on creation, only the query in the Where clause at the time of creation should be used for all future executions of the report. For all future executions of the QBR, the query in the Where clause at the time of execution should not be used in the “Run Time Where Clause” for the report (i.e. it should be irrelevant).
