  • 1.  ISIM - Adapter Development Tool installation failed on Windows 10

    Hi All,

    I am installing ADT5124_ITIM51_TDI71x tool on windows 10 machine.  TDI 7.1.1 is already installed on the same machine and its java is set with JAVA_HOME and Path environment variables.

    Additionally, I tried to run the installer with and without Windows 7 compatibility mode but I am getting below error.

    Windows error 2 occurred while loading the Java VM


    Can anyone help me to resolve this issue?

    Also, Is there any updated version of ADT for TDI 7.2, or the above-mentioned one will work with it? From where I can download it?

    I tried to search it on passport advantage but could not find it.

    Most importantly - ADT is not a supported tool - it is ASIS and the developer of the tool does has abandoned working on it....
    Did you install the 32 bit version  of TDI 7.1.1 - this is required ?

    Hi Franz,

    I have installed 32 bit version of SDI 7.2.0 for ADT but getting same error. Is there any specific JAVA or JRE we need to use. Thanks

    Hi Rachit,

     

    I haven't used the ADT in a long time, but I do remember it requires a very old version of the JRE. Try using ver 5 or 6.

    Hi Prashant,

    I haven't used the ADT for about 5 yrs, but I remember we could not get it to work on any "recent" OSs (Windows or Linux/Unix). It was written to run on an older JRE (v 1.5). I vaguely remember that it could run on a later JRE ver, but not much later, 1.8 maybe. To make it work, we had to find a very old machine that could support a very old JDK. We actually built a stand-alone workstation for this purpose. I haven't tried using it since then because it is not supported. Like Franz mentions, it actually was not supported even 5 yrs ago. This is all I can remember.
