    I believe the only free version of RDi is a limited time free trial. If you want a free editor, try VS Code with the Code for IBM i extension.

    There used to be (and as far as I know there still is) a free version of RDi granted to Schools.  I got free copies installed in the computer lab at the school where I teach night classes.  Just in case you are affiliated with a school, that might help you.

    Thanks everyone for the response.

    But in this VS Code for IBM i extension is there any way by which we can generate program flow diagram like RDi?

    Thanks

    No, there is no program flow diagram generator in Code for IBM i.

    Rishi;

    RDi does have a 120 day free trial.  This was setup a few years ago by Alison Butterill.

    https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/node/1115889?mhsrc=ibmsearch_a&mhq=rdi  This is the download page.  There are many great tutorials on youtube too.  Search for Susan Gantner or Charlie Guarino and of course others too.

    Best of luck.

    The trial version of RDi is full-featured - no restrictions - and will run for 120 days.  As Lori said, if you want an equivalent tool that is free then use VS Code with the Code for i extension.  The easiest way to install is to use this page https://marketplace.visualstudio.com/items?itemName=HalcyonTechLtd.ibm-i-development-pack that will install Code for i and all the major extensions that you need.
