    Here are the instructions for how to install the Technical Preview of the Db2 Data Management Console. Please add your comments if you run into any issues or problems with the setup process.

    In case errors occur during the installation using the UI installer, you can find the output with additional  information in a log file called "db2-datamgmt-console.log".

    To open the folder with the log file, click the "Help | Open Log Folder" menu option.
    The folder is located in the following location:

    Windows: C:\Users\<UserId>\AppData\Roaming\IBM Db2 Data Management Console\Logs\
    Mac: ⁨/Library/⁨Application Support⁩/⁨IBM Db2 Data Management Console/⁨Logs
    Linux: <UserId>/.config/IBM Db2 Data Management Console/Logs/

    To create an archive with all log files, select the "Help | Export Logs" menu option.

    Hi, Michael,

    Based on current investigation, the install problem is probably related to the parentheses in the Java_Home setting in your computer. The current workaround is to move the JDK to a path without parentheses, and then update the Java_Home setting with the new path.

    The start of server I think is pretty slow at setup, slower than for DSM it seems to me.

    I was looking for a Windows service created but didn't find any ... If there is one, could you output service name behind "Démarrage du serveur ... <ServiceName>" ?

    Jean-Marc can you tell me how long it takes to restart the console service? I just tried on my Mac and it took 30 seconds to start the console. I am wondering if the startup time is on the first start or if there is a big difference between the Windows and Mac experience. Thanks!

    Once installed, it takes 42 s ... btw, I have no service installed on Windows.
