    I am missing the index service in Cognos 11.0.13 and could not find anything about it in the documentation.
    Can the search be configured in Cognos 11.0.13?
    Is searching the package contents in Reporting Edit Mode possible in version 11.0.13?

    We've moved towards Search in C11, which indexes everything for you. What feature(s) are you missing from the index service?

    Searching​ package contents within Reports has been added to 11.1. I've uploaded a picture of what that looks like.

    Hi,

    thanks for your quick reply. Could you please provide more details about that change? Any links to documents about it? What does "move to search" exactly mean? The full-text search in Cognos 10.2.2 was quite extensive (this includes the search results page), whereas the new search seems to be quite limited and also very briefly documented (https://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/en/SSEP7J_11.0.0/com.ibm.swg.ba.cognos.wig_cr.doc/c_gtstd_find_content.html). Furthermore, there are no configuration options like in Cognos 10.2.2, so I feel the functionality has been cut down a lot without notice. I know the index service in Cognos 10.2.2 had some problemns regarding memory and disk space usage, but at least it was possible to search all content, including package items and data of saved reports. In the new search, I don't get results for packages. So even if I know the exact data item name, I can't find the packages which include this item.
