​Does anyone have experience with ILMT (IBM License Metric Tool)? If so, could you share your experience?  Do you know if the scan is a full scan across all VM Hosts or is the software configured for just Cognos servers?

We had to implement ILMT at a previous employer of mine as part of an IBM audit.  From what I remember, it scans all infrastructure with ANY IBM software​ installed.  IBM licensing that is PVU based is sometimes dependent on the processor model and other hardware related characteristics.  This tool gathers up all that information and creates a report that you are able to provide to IBM in the case of an audit or when you are going over future licensing needs.

Hi Scott,
may I ask if you know, whether ILMT 7 and ILMT 9 can be used in parallel, scanning the same AIX clients?
We have some AIX clients with quite old SW, works fine with ILMT 7.5 - but IBM is urging us to migrate to ILMT 9.2 (we already have with other platforms).
I ran into the problem, that many of the (old) sw is not detected by ILMT 9.2 as old sw lack of e.g. swtag files (like MQ 6.0).

Do you know where I can find documentation on ILMT 7.5 (I want to check what is the daemon used, port used, installation path)?

I have the same issue, I have older OS's Win 2003, 2008 and sun sparc 10 none of which are supported by the current 9.5 disconnected agent, need to know if the V9.0 is still available as these did support them, and how do I down load the older version
