    Is this possible? To make an if statement in a parameter map? If not, any idea how we could go about one?

    If your question was about conditions in macro syntax, see simple-case which is available when using Dynamic Query.

    i.e. section 4.2.4 http://www.redbooks.ibm.com/redbooks/pdfs/sg248121.pdf

    The value associated to a key be a valid expression (as you would enter into a calculaiton/filter)
