The computer (p630) recognizes the hard disk (a 250 GB Seagate BAracuda) and I am able to create volume groups and logical volumes on it. However, the size of the hard disk is reported as 130 GB instead of 250. I understand it is a bit unorthodox to do so, but I have several new IDE hard disks which I want to use on the totally 5 p630 that we have in our group. Can anyone help?

    Thanks lot in advance

You may want to check your base install CD's to see if there are any devices.isa.disk LPP's that you don't have installed, and also check to make sure you're at the latest level of AIX code.
