  • 1.  IBM V5010 node 2 Power Off(Offline)

    Hi,

        I have issue about IBM V5010 canister node2 offline, I am not sure about hardware replacement.

    -Error 1707

    -Error 1159  

       This issue we can fixed by repalcement battery only?

    Hi Apisdesh,

    The 1159  is  the canister battery is reaching the end of its useful life


    Is possible you give me the error in service mode

    Error 1159 would at least suggest something battery related so replacing that would seem the most easy and cheapest way to go forward.

    Hi Apidesh

    When I encountered error 1159 followed by the controller going offline, I checked its status in Service Assistant, and it was in service state. Rebooting the node from Service Assistant temporarily brought it back online for a couple of days, but the issue was permanently resolved after replacing the canister battery.
    What is status of node in service assistant in your case?

    Hi Advid

    Have you already entered the service mode to see the error message you have on the  offline node?

    Try using this command in ssh connection to show the battery status.    

    lsenclosurebattery - Show the 2 Nodes Batterys

    lsenclosurebattery -battery 1 1 - Show  battery ID 1

    lsenclosurebattery -battery 2 1 - Show  battery ID 2


    At Last try to reset the battery, removing the node and then the battery to see if a battery reset resolves the issue.

    Ps: See in service mode if the node is offline before romoving the node.
