  • 1.  IBM MAS - Installation (Red Hat Openshift) - Multinode

    Posted Sun August 25, 2024 10:18 AM

    Hi All,

I would appreciate some support on the Installation front of RedHat OpenShift before getting to installing IBM MAS .
I am successful in installing bootstrap node and booting the master nodes with RHCOS pointing to the ignition files on bastion. All configurations are in place, however when the master nodes boot it gets stuck at "Warning : unmaintained driver is detected: nft_compat".

Any pointers or assistance would be appreciated.

Which version of OCP are you installing? Also, are you using UPI due to security constraints (by choice)? If not, wish you had used IPI/Assisted Installer via UI or APIs (less work).

    Hi Sharan,

I am also facing same issue while starting bootstrap node. Installing OCP in UPI Method. Openshift version 4.16.39.. Any inputs on how this resolved will be helpful.

I am having the exact same issue (using Assisted Installer against vSphere).

    • Installation using 4.17.1 worked (currently running).
    • Now trying to install a new cluster with 4.18 I am getting the same issue as described.

    Hi Ingo,

was OCP 4.17.1 installed for MAS 9.x or some other application? As per IBM Software Compatibility report, I remember seeing MAS9.0 supported till OCP 4.16

If MAS 9.0 works with 4.17.1 I can try the same. Please let me know

    Hi All,

OCP Cluster set up successfully in Air gapped mode. OCP version 4.15.23. I still received this Warning : unmaintained driver is detected: nft_compat. However, this is just warning and did not stop install of cluster. Below is approach i followed

    1. I went for 4.15.23 version of OCP install rather than 4.16.39.
    2. downloaded and mirror only the release images corresponding to 4.15.23. Catalog images were avoided during initial cluster install
