  • 1.  IBM i VIOS Installation

    Hello

    Does anyone know where I can find the latest documentation or videos for VIOS installation on IBM i?  Everything I have been seeing is geared towards AIX. Thanks.

    Hi

    • VIOS isn't installed within IBM i. It's a separate partition installed via HMC, NIM, or USB flash and provides virtual disks/networks to IBM i / AIX & Linux LPARs.
    • Once VIOS is installed and running, you have to create IBM i LPAR and do the required mapping .

    also chec the uploaded red book and you found more resourcev for PowerVM and LPAR setup
