  • 1.  IBM Content Navigator and Content Manager - Nonadmin users cannot populate dropdown for 'add document using entry template' action

    Hello,

    While moving from the desktop client of Content Manager to ICN 3.0.12 as admin we are able to use the "add document using entry templates" action and use a dropdown list to select what type of entry template we want to use. When testing as a nonadmin user this dropdown does not populate but users are able to get to that page and no error is thrown. When using the normal add document users are able to select the different document types. Is there a specific entry template permission that needs to be given to users that will use this "add document using entry templates" action?

    Hi James
    please make sure that the permissions on the EntryTemplates are correct. The nonadmin users need read permission to use it.
    You should be able to share an EntryTemplate with other users in the creation wizard (or you can modify its security after creation).

    For read permissions I can see in Entry Template Manager's "Set the Item Security" section for the entry template the group is under the author section and they have permissions for everything but edit document when that is hovered over. Is this the specific permissions you are referring to?

    The ET security must not be allowing non-admin users to access it.

    I have tried having both the user and the group they belong to set as "user" for entry templates and I see them under the ACLs listed in that link.
