    From Greg Truty:

Yes, it must be packaged as a native application.  We've suspected that customers would require that an application would need to exist in an application store which is why at Impact we gave some presentations and a lab of combining our feature pack with Phonegap ( a technology our emerging strategy group is investing in to help promote driving the adoption of web technologies. )

From a product perspective, we heard loud and clear from our customers that having the ability to publish in an application store is a requirement and while we cannot comment on future capabilities, we are looking at ways to address this requirement in supported ways that our WebSphere customers have come to expect, while preserving their investment when they develop applications using our technologies.
