  • 1.  I Access for Windows v 7.1 on Windows 11

    I am testing iseries green screen emulator on windows 11, the text lines are not showing up anymore compared to windows 10. how can this be fixed. users cant see where to type.

    those look like 2 different sign-on display files to me. I am on windows 11 using ACS version 1.1.9.3 - i've had no issues. Perhaps the problem is with your sign on display file and not windows 11 etc

    Make sure to use iACS (IBM i Access Client Solutions, https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/ibm-i-access-client-solutions) in place of IBM i Acces for Windows (https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/ibm-i-access-windows) whatever the version. This is one is no longer supported since 2019 and was even not expected to work with Windows 10.

    Same licensing rules apply with iACS.

    Actually, the licensing is even better with the newest versions of iACS:

    "Beginning with version 1.1.9.1 an  IBM i Access Family license is no longer required to use  the 5250 emulation and Data Transfer features."

    Hi Anthony,

    Try the solution suggested by Marc. If that still didn't work, try checking the Color setup on your 5250 emulator. If the foreground and background colors are same, you can't see the cursor or the text on the screen. Hope it helps.
