On the DMC announcement page Peter wrote "You can even pick and choose parts of the console to integrate into your own custom webpages". Can someone perhaps give an example? How is the authentication done, when an iframe is copied to another page?

    Hi Petri,

Peter just published a blog that shows how to use the iframe sharing option. You can find it here: How to build your own custom webpage using components from the Db2 Data Management Console
In terms of authentication, the user will be prompted to provide their credentials when viewing the embedded iframe content from the Data Management Console.

    Thanks,
    Thomas

    Hi Thomas,

thanks for the link. Peter also contacted and suggested to have look at the new blog post. Unfortunately even with the information there I cannot get the iframe to work. I am using an HTML macro for Confluence to embed the iframe and I just get an empty box when I use the DMC content in the iframe. If I use some other page in our internal network, it works just fine. Then I tested with the very light python3 http.server module and even though it still fails, at least it starts to rotate the circle which shows that it is trying to load the content to the iframe. With Confluence nothing happens. Thus it looks like it is an issue with either Conluence in general or some setting we have turned on in our implementation of it. I will keep investigating.

Edit. It turned out that the HTML macro in Confluence does not allow the sandbox configuration DMC is using. It looks like the Iframe macro would work, but unfortunately we do not have that one enabled.

    Hi Petri,
Yes, our development team has investigated that it is related to HTML macro in Confluence, which doesn't allow DMC sandbox settings of iframe. We can do nothing about it since the sandbox settings is required by DMC and can not be unset.
