    A couple of thoughts...

    1) "lscfg" will show you the config... "prtconf" will too, but it is slower and has more info.
    2) "cfgmgr" will walk the bus looking for new devices... this is run at every reboot...

    Also, you may want to look at a couple of the Redbooks for Solaris admin's new to AIX. Search for "REDP-0104", "SG24-6584" or "SG24-7245" are www.redbooks.ibm.com.
