    Could be a bug or some detailed setting is wrong or the method is wrong or you have the configuration is a funny state or one of hundreds of other things.

    Or you processor does not support this new fangled kernel extension because it is quite an old machine - I remember the S70 well - a great machine in its day. Quite a slow CPU at 126 MHz but actually far faster than many CPUs running at two or three times the MHz. Use to drive HP and Sun bonkers in head to head benchmark :-)

    Just goes to show that MHz is only part of the performance story.
